Okay not much here, you think it will come out of the box perfect, well not. The rear hole where the filter exits was drilled off center and the hole was not big enough to fit through the pipe. The valance badge was mounted about an inch off center. There was a small air filter for a 00-02 Camaro, not sure what it is for and was not needed on my '99, but this filter was never splattered with filter oil. The slots in the tube that allow the clamp to tighten onto the MAF were not deep enough to properly tighten the clamp. The main filter could have been better sprayed with oil as it was still white towards the molded rubber ends. So after some modifications it fits. With the replacement parts, I'm not surprised that some massage was required to assemble them, but this could have been largely avoided with proper preparation of the parts during assembly. Maybe the new guy was the one who brought it together. The box fits snugly in the hood, allowing my SS scoop to blow cold air right in front of the filter. Overall, however, after considering all the options, this one seems to be the most functional.
