I'm assuming most everybody reading knows why they're buying this but I'll give my experience with office chairs anyway. For those who may not know, office chairs don't last forever. You might buy this to change the look and feel of your chair but honestly, this is to increase the longevity of it. I've bought relatively expensive office chairs (alongside cheap ones of course) and even the most expensive ergo chairs start to crack and tear. It's only a matter of time before a small tear in your chair rips it wide open. I believe the idea of using this is to help prevent that from happening sooner rather than later.or you want a differently colored seat for your chair.I'm rotating several of these on my main chair and machine-washing used ones to have some sense of a "clean" chair seat. You can alternatively soak your chair with cleaning products but this seems like a better solution to me. I separately sanitize hard surfaces like the legs and armrests. There are straps you can tie together to help keep the cloth onto the chair but honestly, this may not work for every chair since you're strapping it around the whole seat and also assuming this fits onto larger office chairs (which it may not). I feel that most office chairs are standard enough that it will more than likely work for your chair.
