It took me about 2 tries to perfect the method with this appliance, but it's a bit of a learning curve considering my first attempts were completely edible. This tool allowed me to create my own version of a main canteen product. I like to use different types of bread and ingredients to put in the center. Cleans well enough. I would definitely recommend it and/or even buy it as a gift.
