Review on Diamond Lapidary Paste Grit Micron by Chris Kidd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A whole new level of sharpness

I'm not the type to do a lot of reviews and only write them when I find something of value and folks I can say this diamond paste deserves a review. My dad taught me how to sharpen knives from a very, very early age and once I learned that I was always looking for the sharpest edge I could get on a blade. Also, I discovered paper sharpening/sanding wheels about ten years ago and realized how important they were. I've had some of the sharpest blades I've ever had in my life other than Japanese waterstones with these wheels. I started making my own MDF discs and tried different honing pastes to get an even sharper edge and I looked at these diamond pastes for quite a while and finally decided to try a few different grits (14k and 50k) and I can tell you that I have reached a completely different sharpness. 14,000 grit is great, but 50,000 grit is something else! I'm pretty darn happy with the results of these compounds and will definitely be buying more if the need arises. I will add 100,000 and 200,000 grains to my repertoire asap because I've read even better reviews about them. If you hesitate to try them, just go ahead and jump on them, you won't regret it!
