The rubber tips were perfect for our kitchen chairs, which originally had cheap adhesive pads that degraded to bare metal tips within a few weeks. The only downside to these tips is that you won't be able to move your chair when seated, but a slight change in 'habits' will more than make up for avoiding scratches!
