I'm a big fan of AGM batteries. Lead acid just doesn't cut anymore, but I'm cheap too. All my big vehicles have big stereos and Northstar batteries, buy once, cry once. then there's a commuter car with a red-haired foster child who doesn't actually drive that often with a Costco lead-acid battery. I was afraid the clamps would corrode. I tried to buy CRC batter cleaner and protective coating. It did a really good job of removing the mess, but it didn't really do much to prevent corrosion. Long story short, my Costco battery warranty was almost expired and it was barely holding a charge, so I went to Amazon to order some of these protectors and figured I'd get something like this for around $5 for something like that NAPA cost $1 on bail. /autozone. To my surprise they were very cheap so I ordered a couple of them. Damn it. I am a buyer at a store and this is a store. The delivery comes and I exchange the old battery for a new one and install these protectors. Fast forward 6 months and no corrosion though. + I was cleaning my workbench and found 8 of these things and had no idea what to do with them. Christmas is coming, or maybe earrings for the wife (just kidding).
