Review on SuperSprings SSR-209-40 , SumoSprings Blue Rear for Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500 by Jacob Ferrarini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installed on a 2011 Chevy Silverado (Z71) Long Cab 4x4 (with 8ft platform)

The installation went very smoothly, the truck was jacked up where the rear wheels still had the Garage floor touched Make installation easier (doesn't need to remove the wheels). The old original "fenders" popped out slightly after removing the 10mm bolt holding them in place, the included locknuts were not used and the new Sumo Spring mounting bolts were 10mm with 7 washers per side were used for filling. Factory fitted "cup" and Sumo Spring base plate. To be clear, the included instructions say the "offset" is to the rear, it might be easier to just align the metal baseplate with the square end forward and the rounded end toward the rear of the car, making it easier to put it in wanted to tell the instructions, the result was that the sumo spring was dead on the rear flapper on the leaf spring. Great product, don't buy factory fenders, they are flimsy and deteriorate over time!

Pros
  • 1000 (lbs) capacity at 50% compression
Cons
  • Doubtful
