Livened up my vacuum and saved me $140! We have a Dyson DC33 that was in dire need of a clean as my wife's hair was so tangled in the brush and the brush wouldn't spin. I cut and pulled out all my hair. Pooh! π But when I turned it back on, the brush still wasn't spinning. (FYI the brush only spins when the switch is on the carpet and the vacuum is not upright). So I called Dyson and we fixed the issue over the phone. Told me to go from bare floor to carpet 8 times. That does not work. Then I was told to take it to a Dyson Service Center. I threw it out and the guy said it was the clutch and it was $180 to replace because it was out of warranty. Or I return the vacuum cleaner with a 25% discount on a new one. I decided to do it myself. Ordered this part from Revain, found a great YouTube video and got to work. After 45 minutes my suction brush was spinning again! If you don't have the proper tools to tension the straps or remove and tighten the T-bolts, installation will be very difficult. The carpet/raw floor handle is also difficult to remove. Now I've decided to pull out the hair that has accumulated on the brush at least once a month. I hope this clutch lasts a little longer. Much luck!
