Review on 💻 Lisle 24550 Circuit Tester for Computer Safety by Seann Barnes

I've tried several of these circuit testers and they tend to be short lived even with moderate use. It's crazy when these things fail when you're troubleshooting a car under less than ideal conditions. This tester is the best I have ever used. The probe is sharp, the cable and clip are strong, and the handle is sturdy. My first project with this tester was installing a new 7 pin RV plug on my pickup along with a 4 pin flat trailer plug. The tester stayed attached to the ground stud I used and glowed brightly in daylight as I tested live 12 volt circuits. The plastic housing is robust and withstands drops well. Feels like a solid screwdriver in your hand. One of the weak points of such testers is the point where the cable enters the bottom of the tester case. The cable tends to wear out at this point and eventually fail. The Lisle tester has a thick wrap around the cable to protect it from wear and tear. All the Lisle instruments I have used have been of very good quality. I am very happy with this purchase and I think this tester will last a very long time.
