
For good results I need the contents of 2 packs of ceramic weights. After the unbaked dough is placed in the pie pan, I prick the dough with a fork, place a piece of foil on top, and then add weights so they don't stick to the dough and need to be washed. I bake this in a preheated oven at 450 degrees F for 6 minutes. Then I carefully remove the foil and weight together and gently place them in a metal bowl to cool. I continue to bake the cake base for about 8-9 minutes until it is "golden brown". The results were excellent. I got all these tips from others and I'm really grateful!
