This pump is primarily used to drain the tank of something like a B4 snow blower or lawn mower for maintenance or seasonal storage. The pump does its job well, except for the fact that the drain hose is too short. The combination of straight and corrugated segments on the outlet hose is easier to position than a regular rigid pipe, but the hose cannot reach from the snow thrower to the gas tank on the ground. The suction tube is long enough for easy use, but not for the transfer shown in the picture from a large can to a small one, unless the large can is almost full. Worse, the instructions say to hold the switch button and then release it to stop the pumping. No, it's a toggle button. Press and release to start; press and release again to stop. The actual switch is fine, but those who trust the instructions will be dismayed when the pump looks like it wants to run forever.
