I accidentally drilled a hole in the boat's plastic tank and bought this to fix the hole. The day it arrived my daughter ripped off the bumper of her car (ABS plastic) and I took advantage of that fiasco to learn how to weld plastic. I also bought three other more expensive plastic welding machines and this machine was definitely a lifesaver! I drilled some holes in an old gas bottle to experiment with a different type of plastic and only in the kit. comes with strips to fill abs. I used zip ties on the fuel tank. On a car bumper, it was a great tool for repairing cracks and creating new burrs by cutting the screen to shape and "welding" it to fill the strips of melting filler. I was definitely promoted to the Sainted Dad category when my daughter's friend fixed the reconditioned bumper. This tool really works and for a dime you just have to do it! For bumper and ABS plastic repair, this is all you need.
