Received today. First impressions. I used 2 blocks of 4GB to upgrade the memory of my mid 2010 17 inch Macbook Pro from 4GB to 8GB. The installation literally took 5 minutes. Removing 10 tiny screws is 90% of the job. After that, remove the bottom cover, ground yourself, take out 2 old cards and insert 2 new ones. Close the cover again and tighten the 10 screws again, done. I turned on the power and visited all my regular websites and they all loaded significantly faster. No lags in loading images and pages. Checked Activity Monitor and before I was almost at the limit of memory usage I now have about 2GB of headroom. It makes a huge difference for $35 and 5-10 minutes of your time. Do it !
