UPDATE: Still works great after 3 years! Having tried MANY small heaters, this one is by far the best! Here's why: -Very small - fits in my filter housing -Able to heat my 6 gallon aquarium -Automatic shut off when water level drops below heater (happened multiple times) -Reliable and capable of temperatures 10 degrees above the Ambient temperature maintenance Medium for my 6 gallon aquarium. I used it on my 6 gallon aquarium, it has a built in filter so it's actually in the filter housing and out of sight. It can easily keep the water temperature 10 degrees above the ambient temperature and stays constant at 78 degrees when the ambient temperature in the room is over 65 degrees. Since it's in the filter housing, the filter has clogged several times causing the water level to drop below the heater, it shuts off automatically and when I know this has happened I just add water and turn it off/on again and off it works again. Very impressed and very happy that I chose this one.
