So we have a new 65 inch LG C9 TV and a Vizio soundbar mounted in front of it. The problem is that the IR receiver for LG is in the center under the device and is blocked by our soundbar. As a result, we couldn't turn the TV on or off using the remote (those functions are IR, everything else is on Bluetooth when you turn on the TV). This device comes to the rescue. It took about 30 seconds to set up and hide away - just plug the USB into the rear soundbar, place the receiver within sight of the sofa (to the side of the soundbar in our case) and then place the end of the relay within sight of the IR receiver on the LG. All wiring is behind the soundbar and is completely invisible. I don't think you can do better at this price. Take this, fix your remote control problem and get on with your day.
