I am writing this review because I am a HUGE review reader. How do you know what you're getting if you don't get reviews from the people who bought it, right?! I was a bit skeptical at first as some claimed it would block airflow and make their system work harder. Reading the reviews, there was one verified customer who said she could tell the material so it wasn't that thick. I did the same with ease when I received my filter. It was almost like you could see exactly where to break it to get half the filter. Another complaint was that the tape wasn't sticky enough. Okay, I'm obsessed with keeping things clean, but lugging magazines around the house and cleaning them isn't on my cleaning list! LAUGH OUT LOUD! Before I applied the tape to the outside of my register, I first cleaned the register vent. I then dried the vent, applied rubbing alcohol to a cotton swab, and wiped the area I wanted to stick to the sticky side of the Velcro. It worked like a charm! This velcro is not going anywhere and is fully secured! Not enough Velcro? After taking the time to clean the vent, I used very little velcro. I cut off about 1/4 inch for each corner of my vents! So 128 inches of Velcro can make a big difference! When attaching the filter to the velcro, I pressed firmly on one end to ensure the filter adhered to the velcro, and then I was able to pull on the filter to allow the filter to mock up the register. Does he still hold? Dust and dandruff in the house when using half the filter strength? YUP! THAT IS AMAZING! Every morning I woke up to a dusty glass plate! No longer! Yes, there were dust particles on my stove, but nothing like that! Also, a lot of air flows through the filter, so I don't have to worry about my system being overloaded. This purchase was a winner for me! I suffer from allergies and have a cat, which makes the long Wisconsin winters even more difficult for my husband and I. My heating seems to be stable as I now work outside the home. A person only realizes how much dust is in the air when he has to work in it all day. I really like this product and find that the quantity of product you get for the price is sufficient.
