I bought this to use with my HT radio in my car. The coaxial cable on the magnetic base antenna was a few meters shorter than the radio while driving. This extension cord was thin and flexible, making it easy to use with HT without having to run the cord through the car. After a few weeks of use, the middle wire in the pin of the SMA connector broke. It took a few days to figure out what was wrong with my radio before the screen broke too and the coax cable came loose from the SMA connector. Cheap aluminum conductors could not withstand deformation when using HT. It was still under warranty so I ordered a replacement. After a few weeks of use, the replacement unit also broke in the same place.
