Review on 🧶 Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn - Black: Cozy and Luxurious Knitting and Crocheting Essential by Shantel Griffin

Bought this yarn to knit a turtleneck cape for my boyfriend. I thought she would like the color. I don't think I'll give it to her. The yarn is not soft, almost coarse. And while it worked well without chipping or tangling, it just doesn't have the quality I expected. The color is ok but not quite what I expected. I have 3 more skeins that I'll probably try on for myself on mittens or hats, but I don't think it's good enough for gifts. I liked other Bernat yarns but they had wool in them. It's 100% acrylic, maybe the difference is the lack of wool. But Lion Brand has a similar weight yarn, also 100% acrylic, and the texture is much nicer.
