Something is happening now. I don't know if this design is based on another product already reviewed, but it definitely makes it that much better. Facebook officially names them. My first came out of nowhere, I was just playing. The game and I felt that popularity and that was it. Since my receipt was accepted according to Best Buy's return policy, I just called Oculus directly. next to him, so I jumped when I could. I never had another strap for my original Oculus so was thrilled when I got it but like I said even though I treated it like everything I own was broken anyway. 1 month later got a new one with the same offer. Alternative. Now I've only had this fir a few months, but judging by its design I doubt it'll break anywhere near the official one. That being said I don't like the fact that it feels like the same plastic as the official one and I expect it will eventually wear out and just dry up to lick and crack. The other problem is that it folds (which is the nicest thing about it), it doesn't leave a good space to mount the Oxulus connection cable. I prefer to attach the cord in 2 places along the old belt so that the cord runs down behind the ear and out of the way. Putting on a strap is enough to keep the connection point for the charging/patch cords from twitching, breaking or fraying. And it's just as convenient (maybe even a bit more) than the official one. PS Folding makes it easy to put on and take off. I have a large dome and 8 out of 10 Yimeez. I hit my forehead or whatever to get it off my head or just peeked into the real world to avoid the crashes that usually happen when things go wrong. The handle to open to take off the headset usually breaks the headgear anyway.
