Review on Dremel 7103 Shank 1/8 Inch Diamond Wheel Point: Premium Gray Tool for Precision Cutting and Engraving by John Swain

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not like before

I use these bits for glass engraving and have been using original Dremel bits for years. They used to come in two packs, with a pencil tip and a pen tip. I prefer the wider ballpoint engraving, so I just threw away the pencil tips. Dremel recently changed their packaging and now only sells ballpoint pens. Since that's all I use, I bought a few. I used them today. My impression is that they just aren't as abrasive as the same bits in the old two-pack. At the end of today I realized that I went through five new bits and probably would have used two old bits in the past. Before writing this review, I checked to see if anyone else had done anything similar. . I can't see anything so I need to buy more of these. I may have gotten a bad batch, but to be honest, five new beats equals two old ones. If the quality improves on my next purchase I will definitely revisit this review.
