Review on Cooking Light Flexible Cutting Board Mats Set: Multicolor Kitchen Tools for Versatile Meal Prep, One Size by Tara Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

durable yet flexible cutting mat, one side and other side textured to grip countertop

Received these Cooking Light cutting mats just in time as I am really overwhelmed by my old cutting board (now in the trash) have annoyed . I like that they are very thin, light weight, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. As pictured there are 4 in a pack. Each of them has an arbitrary designation (beef, chicken, fish, vegetables). Big size. I didn't even think about it when I recently cut up an assortment of veggies and chicken. I knew they were slightly smaller than the board I just cut and had no issues with space. The cut side is smooth and the other side has a textured surface that provides grip and stability. It really does a fantastic job with it. The only compromise is that you can't use that side for cutting. So one-sided. But I appreciate the grip considering they are so light. Good security feature. The boards are flexible enough to flex to allow food to slide into the pan, but strong enough that you can place food in the pan without bending over. I'm not sure how durable these cutting mats are. because it's a carpet, not a board. But they seem to be just as good as the others I've used. Although I try to use separate boards for meat and veg, it doesn't always work. I love that I can just pop them in the dishwasher after use, especially after slicing raw meat. Yuck. The Four Pack seems to be well priced. Have been using these for a while now (only two out of the pack so far) and haven't had any problems so far.
