Review on SABRE Wired Water Leak Flood Alarm ๐ŸŒŠ Sensor: 110 dB Siren & DIY EASY Installation by Ali Mitchell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best reason to buy home sensors and alarms

Best reason to buy: It uses inexpensive AAA batteries. Alternatively, 9V batteries are used, which are very expensive. The alarm is good and loud, the sensor is very sensitive and does what it is supposed to do with two errors. Two caveats: 1) the cable from the detector to the sensor is VERY short - 6-8 inches - making it difficult to use, and 2) the double-sided adhesive pad sticks instantly and permanently with great force. If you don't attach it to the wall properly and try to move it back to adjust the position, it's time to rip out the putty because you just ruined the wall. *** UPDATE: This thing just paid off. - My air conditioner was clogged and water leaked onto the floor. I set up this alarm so that part of the alarm is on a tin can on the floor and part of the sensor is just touching the floor, in the closed "room" of the air conditioner. The alarm caught a leak and went off so loud that at first I thought it was the neighbor's car alarm - and I was upstairs at the time, and the alarm went off downstairs in a closed 'room' of central air conditioning! Realizing that it was a water leak alarm in the air-conditioned room, I found a small amount of water on the floor and unblocked the air-conditioning drain pipe. With this SABER Water Leak Detector, I've easily avoided serious water damage to my home. It really works!
