I bought this jewelry tester to determine what is real and what is not from my personal jewelry collection. Over the years I have purchased several diamond earrings and received a few from a family member. Even I couldn't tell what was real and what was zirconia. Straight out of the box, put in batteries, charge and work with items I knew were real. This was accurate every time I ran the test. Even after testing some fashion jewelry, the device was not easy to fool! For now I have to say I'm happy with this purchase and I hope it continues to do its job! Although a little pricey, sometimes you get what you pay for! It's a bit bulky and you need to learn to hold it properly to get accurate test results. Remember.
