I read the reviews and felt it was worth buying the product to check the air conditioning line temperature. I'm a DYI guy and the sensor is essential for home use. Probably used 4 times, mostly just to check. Needed today to check the overheating of the air conditioner using a piston system. When I used it to test the temperature of a wet bulb, it started giving me readings that got worse over time. Then it got completely dark. I replaced three AAA batteries but the problem didn't go away. I think next time I'll have to spend more to get a better thermometer.
