Review on Motorcraft MCS104217 Lower Ball Joint by Paul Walters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly. on Shocks, Struts and Suspension

The Revain ordering tool told me the correct fitment for my particular make, model and year and the part I received was an exact one OEM replacement. Some advice: 1) Rent or buy a special ball joint tool kit and have it ready before you start work. This is the ONLY way to get this part out of or into the wishbone. 2) Buy a snap ring tool. This (and other) snap rings can be removed and replaced with needle nose pliers, but why bother when the tool is so inexpensive? Alignment is fixed shortly after completing this repair. On the side you are replacing, you will completely disassemble the steering and front end components. There's no other practical way to get to this part, and you can't get the job done without breaking alignment.
