IF you want to take the radio opener with you and not hang it in the car, that would be great. Nice little built in flashlight. I can't imagine very many people wanting to do this though, so why did Genie release it that way, you see. I have completely reprogrammed 2 door openers and 4 remote controls including my car's built in 'Home Link' and it WAS convenient to send the code from the Home Link, apart from being pretty much useless to ME. The only way to install in the car is to use the sticky velcro on the visor and remote control. uhhh. not as good as i would like. Also, less is not always BETTER. The tiny remotes that came with my Genie scissors were thrown in the trash a few years ago and replaced with a usable standard remote with a Chamberain visor clip and Home Link. Can't recommend this to many.
