Review on πŸ”’ Kwikset Halo Wi-Fi Smart Lock Keyless Entry Electronic Touchscreen Deadbolt with SmartKey Security, Satin Nickel by Isaiah Bower

If you like changing batteries and 90 sec. Wait for the application to work - this article is for you

I have three Halo models - 2 with touch screen and 1 with traditional keyboard. The touchscreen model is terrible. Poor battery life The batteries lasted less than a month on both touchscreen models, compared to a traditional keypad the battery level is still 90%. During that time, I entered the room less than a dozen times using the touchscreen and combining both locks. Likewise, I've used the app less than a dozen times to open the door. Buggy software and almost useless application On average, it takes an application 60 to 90 seconds to open a lock. Pop-up notifications appear on the screen on my iPhone only half the time the lock is being opened and closed. When pop-up notifications appear on the screen, sometimes they are not registered in the application log. Even though the app log stores information about opening and closing locks, it's not in sequential date order. Instead, they are listed randomly, e.g. B. March 12, 2020, April 3, 2020, March 26, 2020. Overall, the Halo touchpad model is a huge disappointment. Until Kwikset fixes the battery and software issue, I would steer clear.
