The main reason I bought this flashlight is that it is waterproof and has a good combination of spot and flood light. I work in a fairly wet and dirty environment and wanted something that could withstand those conditions. I turned on the flashlight and stuck it in a sink filled with water and it still worked great as you would expect from a diving flashlight. The flashlight has 5 functions that can be accessed with a rotary switch and has a comfortable click feeling. so it doesn't accidentally turn on or switch to another mode. The first mode is a cool white spot light and I was able to illuminate the house in front of me with a nice bright beam very well. The next two modes use 4 LEDs in the center, the first corresponding to full power and the second to half power. Both emit a pleasantly warm floodlight that beautifully illuminates the surrounding space. Mode 4 is the red LED, it's brighter than I expected and should be good for your night vision. The latter mode uses UV radiation. I don't use it much where I work, but it illuminates everything very brightly which would react to it in a dark room. I really like that the included battery has built-in USB charging as it can be easily charged in a truck or USB wall adapter, eliminating the need to carry spare batteries or a larger charger. Overall I am very impressed with this light!
