They were great when they arrived and they are great socks straight away. Warm yet breathable to keep your feet from sweating. I love Merino wool socks and have several brands including People. However, these aren't the socks people were selling just last year. They are thinner and all mine wear out after a few months of use. Thinning on the underside, holes in the healing. From the original 8 socks I still have three without holes left. I only wear them around the house, nothing extreme and not all the time. Dollar Store socks last about the same length of time. I'm frustrated and still can't believe how cheap they've gotten. There are several brands that make good socks out of merino wool, I would look elsewhere. I can't recommend them less.
