Socks only lasted 7 months, not worth it

I bought People Socks in early 2015 and have worn them for many years with no problems. But they must have changed their formula because the socks I bought are completely different. I bought these socks on December 31st and have rarely worn them. By August they all had huge holes. I've had cheap wholesale socks from Walmart that lasted longer than these socks. Even if you have had good experiences with People socks in the past, do not buy these socks.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great socks on socks

I am a wool sock connoisseur. I had many different brands like Smartwool. The socks are made in the USA and have remarkable craftsmanship, from seam to stitching. I used to buy wool socks from Costco but recently they stopped wearing them. I rarely write reviews, but these socks are so well made that I felt the need. If you suffer from sweaty feet and work in warm climates, they are essential. I work in stores in Florida. These particular socks are a bit too thick for suit socks, but make great

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No.

Not what I expected. in a bad way.

I can't believe it's merino wool. you are something Anyway, these socks are great for big boots in winter. You are really warm. I took a pair on a hike and used to wear all kinds of merino wool. These tore my legs. I freaked out like crazy about these things. Almost threw her in the fire the second night. Needless to say, now they're only good for sleeping and rubbing the ball. These socks were a big disappointment. You're nothing for hiking without a good sock. and even then I don't know.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not only do these socks fit perfectly, but they are also made in the USA.

Not only do these socks fit perfectly, they're made in America. I live in Florida but wear wool socks almost exclusively. Feet sweat a lot, especially in Florida. These socks will keep you really cool and dry in the summer and warm and dry in the winter. I used them in winter (-28 degrees) on a trip to Canada and also at home in over 90 degrees. I wear 11.5 shoes and they fit great. Great product, great price, made in America, high wool content. Brown - light brown, more likely yellow-brown or…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Issues

Over the years I have purchased many of these socks in various lengths and colors and have always given them five stars and received the best reviews. I recently ordered four more pairs and put them in a sock drawer for future use. After the return period expired I took out the boxed pair and started peeling the packaging and was shocked to find that they are thinner, lighter and less dense than the People socks I ordered. You actually ruined a great product to make more socks and money with…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Thinner now, wear out quickly, not recommended

They were great when they arrived and they are great socks straight away. Warm yet breathable to keep your feet from sweating. I love Merino wool socks and have several brands including People. However, these aren't the socks people were selling just last year. They are thinner and all mine wear out after a few months of use. Thinning on the underside, holes in the healing. From the original 8 socks I still have three without holes left. I only wear them around the house, nothing extreme and…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

This Person Likes People Socks

Me: Sizes 10.5-11.5 on US men's shoes. be perfect with my walking shoes. The padding on the bottom and near the toes is very comfortable and the fabric is insanely soft yet breathable for a medium-thickness sock. The colors appear to be well applied to the material and of good quality. Cons: I think a little more padding in the back of the heel would be great for longer hikes/work days. However, the fabric protects my skin well from the less soft parts of the boot in this area. I'll probably…

Good socks but wear out quickly.

. They fit well and in general I liked it. I tried them based on reviews - 4 pairs total, bought at the same time as 3 pairs of similar wool blend socks from Gold Toe. They fit a little better, but they're thicker and don't move as well. For some reason they also wear out quicker - two pairs, one sock each, there's already a hole at the bottom that needs plugging, but I doubt I'll bother with that. Maybe the hook grew, but since it's only happened on these, I think they're just weaved that way,

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model

TLDR; Extra padding for big boots, warm, great price!

I bought these for three reasons: 1) to keep my feet warm; especially for a Christmas trip to Vegas (it can get cold there)2) For extra padding in my destination <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Keen-Womens-Bern-Baby-Casual/dp/ B003O2SGK2 " ="_blank">Keen boots</a> that are not half sizes. 3) In addition to my REI hiking socks. They're outrageously expensive for a couple. Number one worked well, although not as well as my REI socks. These (REI socks) absorb more moisture than these…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Comfortable, but short-lived

I don't really like the durability of these socks. I bought four pairs a year ago and seven of the eight socks have significant signs of wear and the eighth is in the early stages of obvious wear. I actually always wear these socks. in the house At the gym. At work. Hike. Summer. In the winter. You will receive a painting. I admit they are fantastically comfortable! It is a real pleasure to wrap your feet. Temperature and humidity control at altitude. Even on the hottest summer days I will…
