Good news - amazing image quality and lens versatility gets ten stars. The not so good news is that this lens is heavy. I mean really heavy - by far the heaviest of the many lenses I build for my GM1. You definitely have to hold on. This isn't a problem in itself - the zoom ring moves mass in what feels like smooth operation. When I pair this with my featherweight GM1, I find myself grabbing the camera like a monkey and accidentally hitting the menu buttons. I would never consider using this lens for video recording when zooming was part of the plan. So maybe it's just not the right camera for such a crude lens, or since I bought it 'used like new' through Revain it's possible it was sold in the first place due to the heavy shooting involved. . Anyway, I'm very happy with the image quality of the lens, but was surprised at how clunky and difficult to use it is.
