I recently upgraded from a Forerunner 220 to a fenix 3 and was a little confused about the compatibility with different Garmin watch models after reading the info on the Garmin website. just like Revan. I can clearly say that it works with almost every watch. This is a simple piece of rubber that wraps around the steering wheel. The included zippers are not needed as the watch wrapped around the mount provides all the pressure needed to keep everything in place. If you have multiple bikes, the lack of zippers allows you to quickly switch them from one bike to another. It's a little awkward to wrap a watch around this thing, but we're talking a few extra seconds and it obviously doesn't make much of a difference. I've added pictures of both of my watches to the Giant Escape straight handlebar. I'm sure it will work well on any handlebar and won't interfere with the brake/shift cables. Nothing special, but it is not necessary. This works well and is recommended.
