The counter is small and easy to use. It is also safe, allowing the full voltage range to be recorded without the risk of electrocution. The problem is that it's hard to read in daylight. Neon lights are indicators and cannot be seen in sunlight. I had to wait until dusk to see the ads. Even then they weren't bright. This worked for me since the charger just plugs into a bird feeder with a lead about 8 feet long. If I were to use this on a farm, I would find checking a mile long fence frustrating. But the price was just right for my needs.
