Job done. I found a broken sweater that I didn't even know was broken. The fence hadn't been hot in months and I couldn't explain it. This little guy saved me the trouble of constantly touching the fence with my hand or bribing a kid lol. You have to work at night or hide under something with a wearable device to see the damn lights. During the day they are almost invisible.

I purchased this item to test the performance of a newly installed electric fence. I didn't think it worked because I didn't see it blinking. I ended up checking the fence by touching it. The fence definitely worked. I got the tester out for the night and tried it out. It worked. The problem is you can't see it blinking in the sun. This should probably be shared in the description. I am keeping the item and will use it at night.

It didn't work at all. I bought it back on April 15th along with the fencing materials I needed for an upcoming electric fencing project. Works well and can still be seen in daylight if I shield the light with my hand. Much easier to read in the shade or in the evening light. It uses NE2 type neon bulbs instead of LEDs to indicate voltage. While many competing manufacturers claim LEDs, they are not. Neon bulbs aren't really a problem, and to get something prettier with real LEDs or a real meter you'll have to spend a fortune. These neon lights are about 60 years old.
