Bought this a month ago and have had constant problems. After a month of back and forth I got this response stating that all supported MACs should be cabled to the NAS. I have a WiFi connection with 140 MB/s. -- Initial request <abbreviated> The speed to the modem is 144 MB/s. I can run a 105 Mb/s internet speed test. The NAS is directly connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. SynologyOk strongly recommends performing Time Machine backups (and backups in general) over a wired connection. Wireless connections are inherently unstable, in part due to the amount of interference (basically anything can interfere with the wireless signal). Because wired connections are very low-interference, their stability is unparalleled, which is why the use of any means of transmitting sensitive data is highly recommended. Time Machine generally has a number of issues related to network instability, including what Time Machine would recognize as backup corruption. This can result in having to rebuild the entire task or extremely slow speed due to constant data transfer retries. If you have any other questions please let me know. YES - I HAVE AN EXTRA QUESTION, CAN I GET MY MONEY REFUND?
