Cheap insurance. replace yours!
I have a 1991 300e. This is a common problem area on these cars. I swapped it out as a precaution. Of course, about 80% of the old one was used up. Currently. "Made in China" is written on it. oooh, that's not my favorite thing to do. but that's the easy part. I think everything will be fine. I'm just a mechanic. I installed it without elevator, it's not easy to get there. but not too hard. I recommend replacing these things before they fail. Cheap insurance.
