I do not recommend using it on soft floors, but this cart rolls easily on carpet and all hard surfaces. 2 fingers can push this cart with 300lbs on it. This dolly does an excellent job of moving machinery. Please note, however, that large loads (refrigerators, washer-dryers) can tip over. Due to the low height of the platform, many high loads easily pass through the door openings. I made a correction to mine and shortened the length of the support tube to fit through narrow doorways. Moving Stack W/D sets into apartments is now a breeze. For larger units, 2 people are recommended: one to tip the unit backwards, the other to tip the trolley under the unit. Shorter loads are a breeze with one person.
