I bought this to complement my existing temp sensor. When I first plugged it in this morning, the ambient temperature was 107 degrees; while the existing sensor read about 65 degrees accurately. As others have noted, this POS seems to be registering temperature in an unreliable and random way. So if you need a piece of metal to pierce food (Heh, I'm not judging. We all have problems), this seems like your ideal product (assuming the POS is food-related). Or if you like non-reality temperature readings, this is a great POS for you! But if you are looking for a temperature gauge for your food, DO NOT BUY THIS.
