I bought this to replace the original power steering pump on my 2500 '99 Dodge Ram pickup that stopped working properly after 105,000 miles. I just installed it today and did some truck driving so can't speak to long term reliability, but it worked great after my amateur installation, which in itself is almost a miracle. With that in mind, here's my advice to other amateurs who are considering it. DIY Project - Think long and hard before attempting this. Anyone who tells you it's a light breeze is a liar. It's not that the pump itself is complicated, but its placement and alignment in my Dodge is as awkward as you can imagine. It was a huge pain in the ass. Hopefully it will last as long as the original pump. The price is great, it arrived quickly and solved my problem with admittedly some sore muscles that I had to feed.
