Practical and beautiful!

I really didn't know what to expect from this product because it seemed new and I had never heard of Mega Chef before. I've used the kettle a little over half a dozen times and have been very happy with it. Brings water to a boil fairly quickly. And it looks beautiful at the same time. I love the blue light that lets you know when it's on. I wish the opening at the top was a bit bigger so you can easily put your hand in to really clean it, but otherwise there are no other downsides to this item. A couple of times I ran out of stovetops and had to make pasta. The product isn't really designed for that, but I put about half a handful of angel hair paste, divided in two, into the kettle, added water and turned it on. The noodles were about ready once the water boiled. I just left it there for a few more minutes, poured into a colander and wa-laa, perfect pasta without a pot or stove. I've also used it for ramen and even added some frozen broccoli. When the water boiled, everything was ready. I don't know if this will shorten the life of the product, but so far it hasn't affected it. It's actually a much quicker way to cook pasta than cooking it on the stovetop. Can be great at camp or in an RV where everything needs to be multifunctional.
