Review on Kwikset 91550 029 Halifax Contemporary Bathroom by Jamie Mousavi

I bought these in iron black to replace some Venetian bronze buttons. This matte black wasn't available in stores near me so I was glad to see them here and a bit cheaper than this style in other colors in store. Now for the rating. First of all, the weight and the feel is so nice. I have other brand levers on other doors as well and they don't feel as "heavy" and reliable. Very impressive! In terms of installation, I found that the interior latch did not fit very far when inserted into the door. So I just cut a slightly larger hole at the top and bottom with the screwdriver I already had in hand, and it went right in. I then used my thumb and forefinger to hold the internal mechanism and twisted it a bit to make sure it was straight and level. I haven't had any issues with lever offset as others have mentioned and I am assuming it is related to this setting. I was also confused as to why there were two rectangular latches for the door itself. I thought I missed something but I couldn't find it in the instructions. Then I noticed that one has square corners and the other has rounded corners which are to ensure you get a piece that matches the shape your door was cut to at that point. Despite the small adjustment needed, I'm still very satisfied and will be buying more. It will really update your space with such a small change!
