UPDATE September 2021: It's been over 5 years and my CIA measuring cups are still in good condition. In fact, they still look like new. I've lost count of how many sets I've bought; Every wedding gift I've made since I found them has included a set of these measuring cups. The last set I bought looks and feels just as solid and well built as the originals I've used for years. No loss of quality! These measuring cups have got to be Revain's best offering on stainless steel kitchen tools! I paid over $50 for a "premium" stainless steel measuring cup set from a high-end cookware manufacturer that I never liked from day one. The handle was longer and heavier than the bowl, so they fell backwards when you put them on. After several occasions where they threw away shredded nuts, flaked rice, flour etc when I put them on I finally got fed up and looked for something cheaper that would last a long time. I found it using this kit from the Culinary Institute of America. All are machined from one piece with no spot welding, which can result in handle failure. The size of the product is engraved on the handle, so no matter how many times it is washed in the dishwasher, it cannot be washed off. And they are well balanced to stand on their own and heavy enough that you can hardly bend them even if you try! I love them so much I ordered two sets so I can keep 1 cup measuring scoop in my flour bowl and 1/2 cup in my sugar bowl. The handles are suitable for this use as they are not too long.
