I ordered the first alternator and installed it on my "78 Gmc Sierra Grande". I have a YouTube video demonstrating all of this. It wouldn't charge at all, it squeaked like crazy and made an awful noise so I sent it back to Amazon, then they sent me a second one for free and refunded my postage for the old alternator I sent back and I built a second one Alternator an alternating current. the same thing happened, it wouldn't charge and made a horrible screeching noise, and it's NOT my belts, it's an ALTERNATOR. It was installed properly and correctly and it was a waste of money, I will never buy a chrome alternator again, they look good but they do NOT work as well as they should! dissatisfied customer plus i didn't have much time to fit it as i was rebuilding my 350 and i wanted this so i could 'tighten' the engine a bit and now after i finally got around to fitting it i found the second one doesn't work or amazon will refund my money no, i am very upset about a dissatisfied customer
