Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ 24 X WS2812 WS2812B 5050 RGB LED Ring Lamp Light: Ideal for Arduino and Raspberry Pi Projects by Richard Cheng

Works great, cheaper than Adafruit

The best plus is that it's not plagiarized like Adafruit's LED ring which costs twice as much as a pathetic 24 LED ring. It's a WS2812, so it works seamlessly with the Neopixel or FastLED libraries for Arduino. I wanted to use them for a compact project so I programmed the ATtiny85 to run them (works great). You can get away with even less SRAM than the ATtiny85 since there are very few LEDs. It's very bright, especially since all 24 LEDs in the ring are pointing in the same direction, so don't look at the ring at full brightness. I'm not sure what the current draw is, but at 60mA per LED at full brightness (all colors on) you'll never exceed 1.5A, and continuous current draw should be less than half that (750mA) . The green diodes in one of the chips were defective so I requested a refund from Revain and they promptly replaced me at no additional cost.
