I needed to add a 12v accessory to a 48v powered e-bike. I calculated that the total current from my 12v accessory would be less than 3 amps. This 10A module is more than enough to get the job done and gives me the freedom to add additional 12V devices if I feel like it. Some reviewers noted the presence of a spark when connecting the input power wires, even with no load. This is normal, so don't worry. This is caused by the "buck" inductance used in its voltage step-down circuit. For electrical protection, I strongly recommend installing a fuse on the input and output.
