We bought this for our rabbit. The bunny has his own room, but sometimes we like to take him to the main part of the house. With a large number of cats, we decided to use this device to protect the rabbit from cats. That's fine. The cats walk around him and look at the rabbit, who doesn't seem to care about cats. If the kitten jumps on him, he will collapse. Bunny is safe because we are close to him, but we need to get the cat out of the playpen and get her back on her feet. It's great for that purpose, and I think it works well for its intended purpose as well. There is a zipper on the top of the screen and around it there are window grilles. The bottom part (which we don't use) is attached with velcro. I think it's ok, but a zip at the bottom would be better.
