Review on ☕ Solofill SOLOGRIND Single Serve Coffee Pod Burr Grinder, 2-in-1 Automatic, Black Finish, 1 EA by Jennifer Glasheen

UPDATE - Well, the good times are sadly over. A few months after purchase, the grinder stopped grinding to a consistency suitable for brewing. I deleted the event slot by following the excellent instructions in the questions section ⬆️ I've tried this a few times but to no avail. I've added photos of the "floor" which looks more like boulders than soil. It's on the best settings. The bowl on the right has a usable fine grind from my old coffee grinder. My biggest disappointment was that I emailed customer service as stated in the documentation that came with the coffee grinder. I waited for their reply for almost a month before posting this update. Nothing. So I downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 stars. The concept is still good. My original Solofill from many years ago still works quite well. But now I got two unusable grinders, the first one (mentioned below) was DOA and was replaced very quickly, and now the spare which grinds the unusable beans. Sigh. hide in a closet. I just haven't been able to find a stock K-Cup lately that tasted really good. And yes, I feel guilty about the waste. So I pulled it over and tried again and I loved it! Getting really good, fresh beans that are ground just before brewing goes a long way. My husband only drinks 1/2 caffeine so I decided to get him a second one so I don't have to worry about too much caffeine. That's about $15 LESS than what I paid a few years ago. But DOA came. So I started the return process and said I wanted the same product. Well they sent it straight away, came the next day and said to send it back first if you can get a replacement. IMPRESSIVE! I prefer to use the reusable K cups, sold separately, rather than the cup that comes with the grinder. The cup that comes with the grinder must be perfectly aligned in the coffee maker. Who has the time and patience for that before drinking your coffee? Seriously, not that big of a problem, but others are just easier. Also learned the hard way to immediately pop a fresh cup into the grinder. It won't work if the lid isn't closed, but it will happily grind into nothing or end up on your counter if there's no grounds cup nearby! Works great and coffee is way better! With my eldest, I found it necessary to do a thorough cleaning on a regular basis. When it stopped working I tried deleting the area I could see. It turned out that this was not enough. I found instructions on the internet. Not difficult at all and it works like a charm again!
