Before you buy anything from Victron you must read this. In April I installed a solar system in my mobile home which includes a Victron Multiplus 12/3000 inverter with a 5 year guarantee. About a month later the inverter had a major problem and immediately blew the 400 amp fuse that separates it from my hot bus. I contacted the seller at Revain (Jar Boys - again, be careful) who then referred me to a service center in Washington state. I sent the inverter to this service center at my own expense (over $100). That was June 2020. Now 25th October 2020. I've called customer service several times and got the same answer - I can't tell what's wrong with your inverter but I'll check and call. you are back today But I never get an answer. Here's the thing – Victron is based in the Netherlands. They do not have a US office. If you wish to make a warranty claim, you will simply be redirected back to any service store that has your device. I think Victron does great things but I have a bad inverter. But now I have about $1,500 and I'm at a loss. My advice to anyone interested is to buy from an American manufacturer. You can most likely get your solar components for a lot less money, and if something goes wrong you can work directly with the manufacturer to fix your problem. Update I now believe the problem was actually the service center and not the service center. Sold by Revain (Jarboys). finally got a new inverter which has worked well for the past few months.
