I bought these anticipating a long day in the saddle and the possibility of rain/mud/puddle. Although the rain stopped when I hit the road, it was still pretty damp and my feet stayed dry all day (+/- 8 hours). My feet sweat, but not much, and they stay "dry" on the outside, which is always a real problem. Time and stretch, they are great for your needs. Other than that, they're definitely not the most durable thing I've bought for cycling, but they're great for their purpose and I highly recommend them, especially for the price.
