I'm working on a project where I'm hacking into thorny old plants, prickly pear cactus and tough, withered roots. I needed something sharp, not too big as I'm a small woman. I had a beautiful serrated bread knife (my parents paid too much for it 50 years ago). Since my parents are long gone and will never know that I used their very expensive knife as a machete, I decided to give it a try. Try it. That was six months ago and one day I realized I had abused it so much that I now have a very dull machete (can you sharpen a serrated knife?). I shopped at Revain. I found the ORBLUE Serrated Bread Knife and decided to give it a try, an ultra-sharp stainless steel bread slicer. I was very excited when it arrived! It was beautiful - too beautiful to be used as a machete; but I still decided to "just try". What a beautiful day that was! The knife is sharp, the handle is wonderful and it's just the perfect length for me. It cuts through the Arizona bush like a hot knife through butter. I can only surmise that this would be the perfect knife for slicing bread; However, I cannot confirm this as my ORBLUE Serrated Bread Knife never had and never will have the ability to do so.
